In-Home ABA Therapy, Owned and Led by a BCBA
Believing is Achieving delivers every session in your home — never in a clinic. We're independently owned by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, not a corporation or a private equity firm. That means no waitlists, no inflated hour recommendations, and you choose your child's therapist.
Serving 36 Chicagoland communities · Aetna · Blue Cross Blue Shield · UnitedHealthcare · Optum

Four things that are different here
Your provider is a BCBA, not an investor.
Mariah Biscan founded Believing is Achieving after a decade as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst — including time as a clinical director at a large Chicagoland ABA organization. She left because clinical decisions were being made around growth and revenue. Here, the person who owns the company is the person accountable for your child's care.
What BCBA ownership meansEvery session happens at home.
Not "we also offer in-home." Only in-home. Skills learned at the kitchen table, during the bedtime routine, and in the backyard are skills that stick — because that's where your child actually lives. In-home ABA isn't easier and it isn't more profitable. It produces better outcomes, and that's the only metric we optimize for.
Why in-home ABA worksNo waitlists.
Families across Illinois wait six to twelve months for ABA services. We don't run a waitlist. When you reach out, we respond, and we begin when you're ready.
How we do it without a waitlistYou choose your child's therapist.
Most companies assign one. We introduce you to candidates and let you decide who comes into your home and works with your child. It's your family.
How therapist selection worksWhat is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a personalized, evidence-based approach to helping children build meaningful life skills. At its core, ABA is about understanding why behaviors happen and using positive, respectful strategies to teach new skills that support independence, communication, and confidence.
ABA is recognized as a leading treatment approach for autism by the CDC and the U.S. Surgeon General, backed by decades of research.
At Believing is Achieving, ABA is never rigid or robotic. Therapy is individualized, relationship-based, and designed to work within your child's real life — not to force your child to fit a system.
How it works
Build a meaningful connection.
You meet with Mariah — the founder and owner — to talk about where your child is right now and what you're hoping for. She'll share her approach and her honest professional read on whether we're the right fit. No pressure, no script.
Complete an in-home assessment.
Mariah or one of her BCBAs comes to your home for a comprehensive, direct assessment, then walks you through the findings and recommends individualized goals.
Choose your therapist and begin.
Weekly in-home sessions start with your Registered Behavior Technician, supervised throughout by your BCBA. You're part of choosing who that therapist is.

Most Illinois families are covered.
We're in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. Illinois law requires state-regulated plans to cover the diagnosis and treatment of autism, including ABA — and a 2022 amendment clarified that insurers cannot deny covered services based on where they're delivered, with home-based services explicitly included.
We verify your benefits, explain your coverage in plain language, and handle authorizations for you.
Where we serve
