Michael Zagurski, LBS1 — Director of Operations

Michael is the Director of Operations at Believing Is Achieving, where he works closely with families and team members to ensure thoughtful, high-quality care.

He previously spent several years as a Special Education Teacher in the Naperville school district, leading life skills classrooms, taking students out into the community weekly, and seeing firsthand the frustrations families often face when advocating for their child's needs during the IEP process. Those experiences continue to guide his family-centered approach.

Michael also has experience providing one-to-one in-home therapy and remains actively involved in the field, continuing to work directly with children today. Staying hands-on allows him to better understand each family's journey and support meaningful progress.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys health and fitness and has a passion for aviation. He currently holds a pilot's license and is pursuing his commercial license in his free time.
