In-Home ABA Therapy in Oswego, Illinois

Believing is Achieving delivers ABA therapy inside Oswego homes, with no waiting list. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst owns the practice and designs each program, and families meet and approve their therapist before any session is scheduled.

Growing by about 15 percent, staffed by the same profession

Oswego has roughly 39,900 residents and has added about 15 percent since 2020. Whole subdivisions of young families have arrived in five years. The number of behavior analysts able to serve them has not grown anything like as quickly: Illinois has 2,388 certified to an in-state address, 8.8 per 10,000 children where the national rate is 10.3, which is close to 1,130 children per analyst against 968 nationally.

Put a fast-growing village on top of a fixed clinical workforce and you get exactly the six-to-twelve-month waits families across urban Illinois report. Our response is not to run a longer list but to keep the list at zero and be candid about what we can take on. The no-waitlist page sets out the reasoning and the numbers.

One district, kindergarten through graduation

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is a unit district: the same organization runs a child's elementary, middle, and high school years across two high schools. It reaches well beyond the village boundary, into parts of Montgomery, Aurora, Plainfield, Joliet, and Yorkville, and a portion of Oswego itself is served by Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 instead. Worth confirming your address if you are new here.

A single district spares families the ninth-grade change of board that reshapes IEP teams in other parts of the region. It does not make a large, fast-growing district easy to navigate. We help parents prepare, keep the clinical data consistent with what teachers report, and attend meetings when asked — described on our IEP and school collaboration page.

Sessions in your Oswego home

Your clinician works where your day is: the hallway where shoes get lost, the table where dinner turns into a standoff, the bedroom at the end of a long afternoon. Those are the moments a parent wants changed, and they are hard to reproduce in any other building.

As goals move outward, Oswego has calm, bounded places to try them. Hudson Crossing Park sits on the Fox River with a clear beginning and end to a visit. The Little White School Museum and historic downtown Oswego give a short trip with something to look at. The Oswegoland Park District, with 63 parks and roughly 16 miles of trails, and the Oswego Public Library District cover most of what an ordinary week asks for.

How we practice

Our three fixed commitments: every session takes place in your home, a behavior analyst owns and runs the practice, and families choose the therapist.

Services available in Oswego

Insurance for Oswego families

Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum are in-network with us. Illinois requires state-regulated plans to cover autism diagnosis and treatment including ABA, and the mandate's 2022 amendment made clear that a covered service cannot be denied on the basis of where it is provided. Plan terms still differ, so we check benefits before you commit — start with the insurance page.

Nearby communities we also serve

We also serve Aurora, Yorkville, Plainfield, and Naperville.

Questions from Oswego parents

Which district serves Oswego?

Most of the village is in Oswego Community Unit School District 308, a kindergarten through twelfth grade district of about 17,000 students and the seventh largest in Illinois, with two high schools. A portion of Oswego falls instead in Yorkville Community Unit School District 115.

Oswego has grown fast. Does that mean a wait for ABA?

Not here. The village is up roughly 15 percent since 2020 while the number of behavior analysts in Illinois has barely moved, and that is what creates waitlists elsewhere. We do not keep one. We tell you what we can staff, when you ask.

Is it the Oswego Park District or the Oswegoland Park District?

Oswegoland. The Oswegoland Park District runs more than 1,100 acres, 63 parks, about 16 miles of trails, two aquatic facilities, and the PrairieFest celebration.
