How to Get Started With In-Home ABA Therapy
Getting started shouldn't feel like navigating a system. Here's exactly what happens, in order.
Step 1 — Build a meaningful connection
You'll meet with Mariah, founder and owner of BIA, to discuss your family's current situation and your child's unique needs. During this conversation she takes time to get to know you, understand where your child is right now, and learn what you're seeking from services. This ensures your goals are aligned and that she can confidently support your family in the way you expect.
With experience leading in-clinic programs and delivering in-home services, Mariah is glad to share her approach, her values, and her honest professional insight. If it feels like a good fit for you, we move forward.
No pressure, no script, and no sales team. Just clarity.
Step 2 — Schedule and complete an in-home assessment
Mariah will work with you to schedule a comprehensive in-home assessment. Either she or one of her carefully selected BCBAs will complete a direct evaluation to determine the most effective way to support your child and family. Once complete, the BCBA reviews the findings with you and recommends individualized goals.
An assessment includes parent interviews, direct observation of your child, skill assessments, and a review of developmental history.
Step 3 — Select your therapist and begin services
Weekly in-home services begin with your assigned Registered Behavior Technician, supported by ongoing supervision and guidance from your Board Certified Behavior Analyst. While most companies will randomly assign you a therapist, we prefer to include you in that process of selection.
Insurance, handled
We verify your benefits before you commit, explain your coverage in plain language, submit the treatment plan for authorization, and keep you informed throughout. In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum.
